Making Graduate Program Management Simple

Graduate Program News Digest

GRADUATE MANAGEMENT EDUCATION NEWS DIGEST

There is more happening in graduate education than any program leader has time to follow.

Each month, I review a wide range of news, research, ideas, and developments affecting graduate management education and I curate content I believe is worth your attention and share it with you. The goal isn’t to give you more to read. It’s to help you see what matters.

The Challenge

There is a lot to keep up with.

Finding information isn’t the problem.

Finding what matters is.

Graduate management education (GME) is changing quickly. New ideas, research, policies, technologies, market pressures, and developments across higher education appear every day.

For a program leader, the challenge isn’t finding information. It’s deciding what deserves your attention.

That’s where the GME News Digest comes in.

I do the searching, reviewing, and curating so you can focus on what the information means for your program.

What I Curate

I look for news, research, ideas, and developments that can help graduate program leaders understand what is happening around them and consider what it might mean for their programs.

The Digest is not a collection of everything happening in graduate education. It is a curated selection of credible and relevant material that I believe is worth your attention.

Some of what I learn through this ongoing curation also informs the development of the Plays.

The goal is simple: help you stay informed without adding to the information overload.

Curated. Relevant. Worth your time.

What You Get

A monthly, curated view of what matters in graduate management education.

Each month, you receive a selection of news, research, ideas, and developments that I believe are worth your attention.

The Digest helps you:

  • Stay informed without trying to follow everything.
  • Cut through information overload with a curated selection.
  • Find credible and relevant material rather than simply collecting more links.
  • Share useful ideas with colleagues and use them to start conversations.
  • Search the archive when you need information for a specific purpose, such as preparing for a curriculum review.

The past two years of curated content will remain available in the archive for easy searching and reference.

More Than a Collection of Links

Curated content is more useful when it leads to a conversation.

Each month, the Digest highlights selected content that I believe is worth sharing with colleagues. The goal is to make it easier to take an idea, issue, or development and bring it into a conversation with your dean, faculty colleagues, or program team.

The August Digest provides a good example of this approach, with selections identified for Deans, Faculty, and Program Teams, along with a question designed to help start the conversation.

Some of the content I curate also provides context and perspective for the Plays in the Graduate Program Intake Playbook.
