Extracted Content: In recent decades, the need for formal education to gain entrepreneurial competencies is being increasingly appreciated. This study compares the entrepreneurial competency among the off -campus and regular students of business administration in terms of 3 major variables specifically personality traits, educational characteristics and awareness level regarding venture supporting groups. The population employed in the research survey consist 200 students pursuing distant and regular business administration course within the districts of South Kerala. Pearson’s Correlation coefficient, Chi-square and Bivariate regression was used to analyse the impact of the three variables. The results suggest that formal education has a positive impact on entrepreneurship, but there is no substantial difference in the intention of students pursuing business education from two distinct platforms.
