Extracted Content: Indian Institute of Management-Visakhapatnam (IIM-V) will launch an MBA programme in digital governance and management from this August, under the aegis of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) of ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY). IIM-V is the first IIM in India to launch the specialised management programme with an objective to accelerate the footprint and impact of digitalisation.
Before taking up the initiative, IIM-V constituted an expert committee, comprising professors from various IITs and IIMs, domain experts from tech giants, senior officials from various government organisations, to prepare the guidelines pertaining to eligibility criteria and curriculum, courses, etc. The guidelines and report prepared by the IIM-V have been approved by the MeitY.
